I've decided to open a blog for Vintage Fabric Finds (as if I didn't have enough to do already). I am excited though as I have a lot of amazing vintage fabric that I want to share to with everyone. I believe every piece of fabric has a story to tell. Weither it be where it came from, where it's been, how it was made, what it was intended for or the endless possibilities of what it will become and was ment to be.
I love to craft and love to stretch my imagination and see what possibilities I have within myself. I have tried scrapbook and paper crafts and found that I love it.
I have cross-stitched and found that I can do it but it really isn't a passion of mine. I do have a few lovely pieces hanging in my home.
I can sew. I am always learning new techniques and growing every time I turn my machine on and press the foot peddle and hear the humm of the motor and see the needle going up and down. Sewing do I love.
However, my true passion for rug hooking. I learned it from my mother Barb, who learned it from her mother Joyce, who learned it from her mother Marie and learned it from her mother. (Can you see the pattern- I come from a long line of hookers....snicker, snicker). With all joking aside I must admit I am not the best hooker, but I make a pretty good living from the work I do. Sorry I just couldn't help myself....... ;)
I will be posting pictures of my handywork, other's handwork and some great vintage finds I come across along the way. I hope you see something you enjoy. All items will be for sale unless otherwise advertised.
So with that said I will get to work in the next few days posting items for all to see and share. Please feel free to comment, join my blog and feel free to add me to your facebook contacts. Cheers everyone.
